Biography

Mr. Rodríguez-Muñoz is an associate at DMR Law. His main areas of practice are civil litigation, labor and employment matters, criminal defense, and white-collar criminal defense.

Mr. Rodríguez-Muñoz attended the University of Puerto Rico School of Law where he graduated with Honors. During his time in Law School, Mr. Rodríguez-Muñoz worked as a Law Clerk at Edge Legal LLC, where he assisted lead attorneys in civil matters ranging from breach of contract and damages claims to complex commercial and environmental litigation. Additionally, in his last year of Law School, Mr. Rodríguez-Muñoz worked as a Legal Counselor for the UPR Law School Legal Aid Clinic, specializing in criminal law. While there, Mr. Rodríguez-Muñoz successfully represented two accused individuals at trial, where he conducted interrogatories, cross-examinations, and closing arguments.  

Before joining DMR Law LLC, Mr. Rodriguez-Muñoz was an associate attorney in the Litigation Department of one of the largest law firms in Puerto Rico. Initially, Mr. Rodríguez-Muñoz focused primarily on Labor and employment matters. He successfully litigated numerous employment claims, including wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, and salary and wage matters in state and federal court as well as before administrative agencies such as the EEOC and the Puerto Rico Anti-Discrimination Unit. Mr. Rodríguez-Muñoz also served as lead legal representative for corporate employers in arbitration proceedings stemming from complaints filed by union employees under applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements. Aside from serving as legal representative in litigious proceedings, Mr. Rodríguez-Muñoz provided legal counsel regarding employee contracts, manuals, policies, rules, and regulations, as well as provided legal recommendations as to appropriate disciplinary measures for employees. Eventually, Mr. Rodriguez-Muñoz’s practice broadened to include a wide array of civil matters, including, but not limited to, breach of contract and damages claims, real estate law, civil rights claims, environmental law, RICO claims, claims submitted under Puerto Rico Act No. 75-1964, known as the “Dealer’s Contracts Act”.  

Since joining the DMR Law team, Mr. Rodríguez-Muñoz’s main areas of practice are civil litigation, labor and employment matters, criminal defense, and white-collar criminal defense.
